Spain U-20 international Isco was delighted to return to his roots after becoming the latest signing for big-spending Malaga, who he believes are making an "incredible project".
The 19-year-old, who was born just outside Malaga, yesterday became the ninth summer acquisition by the Andalusian club after joining Manuel Pellegrini`s outfit from Valencia for a fee in the region of €6m. Isco has agreed a five-year contract, with the initial buy-out clause set at €20m, Malaga announced.
Isco joins the likes of Ruud van Nistelrooy, Joaquin and Jeremy Toulalan in moving to Malaga, and he said the calibre of those players "are an example that what they (Malaga) are doing is something very big".
He added: "The club are making an incredible project that was unthinkable a few years ago. I`m very happy to have the chance to return to my home and proud because they have opted for a young player."
