Malaga have confirmed the signing of Netherlands international Joris Mathijsen from Hamburg for an undisclosed fee.
The 31-year-old, who has won 71 caps for his country, has put pen to paper on a two-year deal, which includes a €20 million buyout clause.
A statement on Malaga's official website read: "The football club and Hamburg agree to the transfer of Dutch defender Joris Mathijsen."
Mathijsen becomes the Liga outfit's third summer signing after the arrivals of Spaniard Nacho Monreal and fellow Dutchman Ruud Van Nistelrooy, a team-mate of Mathijsen at Hamburg last season.
