Thiago Silva's agent has denied his client wants to leave AC Milan this summer. Reports in South America had strongly linked the Brazil international with a potential move to Barcelona.

But his agent Paulo Tonietto told Gazzetta dello Sport: "Thiago Silva is happy at Milan. He only recently signed a new long-term contract. Had he wanted to leave, he would not have extended his contract with Milan until June 2016.

"There's absolutely nothing regarding those rumours, he is very happy with I Rossoneri. His only thoughts right now are on the Copa America and winning the Champions League with AC Milan next season."

The 26-year-old centre-back joined Milan from Fluminense in 2009.

Milan chief rules out Kaka return
Meanwhile, Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has closed the door on Real Madrid midfielder Kaka returning to the club in the near future.

Galliani responded to ongoing speculation the 29-year-old would move back to the San Siro this summer, after a troubled spell with Los Merengues in which injuries and form have hindered his career, by claiming a deal would not be possible.

"I'm 100 per cent certain that he will not return," Galliani said to Gazzetta dello Sport. "He will not join us even on loan because the problem is his high wages."

Kaka joined Real from Milan in 2009 and is under contract with the Spanish heavyweights until June 2015.
