Montpellier today announced the signing of Cameroon full-back Henri Bedimo on a four-year contract from recently-relegated Lens.

The 27-year-old, who has 15 caps for his country, came through the youth system at Toulouse and represented Le Havre and Chateauroux before joining Lens mid-way through the 2009/10 season.

Bedimo is the first signing of the summer for Montpellier, who finished in 14th place in Ligue 1 last season and were beaten 1-0 by Marseille in the final of the French League Cup.
