Sevilla have begun strengthening their squad for next season after today confirming the signings of Germany international Piotr Trochowski and Manu del Moral.

Attacking midfielder Trochowski, 27, has penned a five-year contract which has a buy-out clause of €17million after being snapped up from Hamburg.

Trochowski has played 36 matches for Germany and was part of his country's squad at both UEFA EURO 2008 and last summer's FIFA World Cup™, where they finished runners-up and in third place, respectively.

Forward Manu, who is also 27, joins on a four-year contract from Sevilla's La Liga rivals Getafe and his deal includes a buy-out clause of €20million.

The duo are the first summer signings for a Sevilla side who finished the recently-completed campaign in fifth spot, earning themselves a place in next season's UEFA Europa League.
