Leonardo Sigali was both hero and villain as Godoy Cruz moved level with Velez Sarsfield at the top of the Clausura after they drew 1-1 at Banfield.
Jorge Achucarro gave the hosts the lead after 16 minutes before Sigali levelled with a little more than half an hour left.
However, the defender was then given a straight red card ten minutes later to leave his side to play the remaining 20 minutes with just ten men.
Bottom-side Newell's Old Boys claimed just their third win of the season in a match against All Boys which saw both teams finish with ten men.
Rolando Schiavi scored the only goal after 27 minutes but there was drama in the final minute when both Ignacio Fideleff and Juan Gigliotti, of All Boys, were given straight red cards.
