Portugal international Silvio has claimed he will join Atletico Madrid from Braga this summer.

Speaking following Braga's 1-0 UEFA Europa League final defeat to Porto last night, the 23-year-old full-back was quoted as saying in the Portuguese press: "I confirm that I'm going to Atletico Madrid. This was my last game in the Braga shirt.

"I'm going to take on a very attractive challenge in Spain, where I hope to be happy."

Silvio, who has three caps for his country, came up through the youth ranks at Benfica and played for Atletico Cacem, Odivelas and Rio Ave before joining Braga last year.
