Lokomotiv Moskva moved to the top of the Russian Premier Liga table with a 4-0 home win over Terek Grozny as previous leaders Kuban Krasnodar could only draw.
Defender Roman Shishkin scored twice in the first half to put the capital club in control and the victory was completed after the break by Dennis Glushakov and substitute Alan Gatagov, who scored two minutes after coming on.
The game between Anzhi Makhachkala and Kuban Krasnodar ended goalless, which cost the visitors top spot as Lokomotiv went above them.
Elsewhere, ten-man Tom Tomsk hit back to earn a 2-2 draw at FK Krasnodar. The home side led through goals from Eugeni Shipitsyn and Igor Picusciac before the break.
Pavel Golshev pulled a goal back 11 minutes into the second half and then Tomsk had Renat Sabitov sent off five minutes later. However, they recovered from that setback to earn a draw when Golshev scored his second from the penalty spot with 18 minutes remaining.
Substitute Mate Vatsadze earned Volga Nizhny Novgorod a 1-1 draw away to Spartak Nalchik with a stoppage-time equaliser. Last-placed Spartak had been on course to win after Bogdan Milic opened the scoring on the hour, but Vatsadze nicked a point late on.
