Sanchez Flores to leave Atletico
Atletico Madrid coach Quique Sanchez Flores said today that he would be quitting his post after the last La Liga game next weekend.
Sanchez Flores, appointed in October 2009, guided the Madrid side to the UEFA Europa League title last season, as well as to the 2010 Spanish Cup final, which his team lost to Sevilla.
This season the manager has been less productive with Atletico, who are in sixth place, as Sanchez Flores' had a falling out with his leading striker, Uruguayan Diego Forlan.
They face Hercules at home tomorrow with the Spaniard telling a press conference: "That will be my final match at the (Vincente) Calderon stadium and I hope I'll be able to control my emotions."
