Tottenham Hotspur defender William Gallas is likely to miss the remainder of the season after suffering a calf injury, Spurs manager Harry Redknapp revealed today.

Gallas suffered the injury in Spurs' 1-0 defeat at Manchester City earlier this week, a result which ended the club's hopes of securing UEFA Champions League football for next season.

Redknapp said the injury would rule Gallas out of Tottenham's trip to Anfield to face Liverpool on Sunday and most probably the Londoners' final match of the season against Birmingham City next weekend.

He's probably out for the season. He did a calf the other night at Man City.

"William Gallas isn't fit," Redknapp said. "He's probably out for the season. He did a calf the other night at Man City."

However, Redknapp revealed that injury-prone Ledley King may feature at Liverpool after seven months on the sidelines.

"Ledley could play. He played in a game on Wednesday and came through OK. He's not trained today but if he feels OK he could be available," he said.
