Chievo coach Stefano Pioli praised his players after yesterday's 2-2 draw in Turin was enough to assure the club of Serie A football next season. The men from Verona came back from 2-0 down to take a point at Juve.
The result lifted Chievo to 12th in the standings, seven points clear of the drop zone with two games remaining. "This is the biggest satisfaction in my career," Pioli told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"I want to thank my players for the great work done this season and the club for allowing me to work in harmony. We have proved that Chievo deserve to be in the top flight. With good organisation and a professional approach, important results are achieved and this is one of them."
Chievo, who have avoided the drop in the last three campaigns, host Udinese on Sunday before ending the campaign at Palermo on 22 May.
