Song Lam Nghe An blew Group F in the AFC Cup wide open with a comprehensive 4-0 victory over leaders Sriwijaya at Vinh Stadium on Tuesday.

The Vietnamese gained revenge for a 3-1 defeat in Indonesia two weeks ago as Thierry Ngale opened the scoring after 24 minutes when he was quickest to a rebound. The Cameroon defender doubled the hosts' lead just after the half-hour mark with a free header from a corner before Andre Fagan netted the third when he beat three defenders and lifted the ball over the Sriwijaya keeper. Substitute Kavin Bryan sealed the points just before the hour, while Sriwijaya also saw Oktovianus Maniani dismissed eight minutes from time.

The result saw TSW Pegasus assume leadership of the group following a comfortable 3-0 win over VB at Tseung Kwan O Sports Centre. Manoel Santos Filho put the home side in front after 34 minutes when he met Lai Yiu Cheong's corner and the latter's cross also saw Chan Ming Kong glance home a header just before half-time. Filho then blazed a second-half penalty over the bar before Leandro Carrijo wrapped up the scoring in stoppage time when he converted from the spot.

Tolgay Ozbey's stoppage-time penalty dented South China's hopes of progressing from Group H as they were held to a dramatic 3-3 draw at East Bengal. Ozbey had opened the scoring after 20 minutes but Kwok Kin Pong took advantage of defensive hesitation to equalise just before the hour.

East Bengal retook the lead when Baljit Singh finished Robin Singh's through-ball but the visitors turned the game around in the final two minutes with goals from substitute Cheng Lai Hin and Li Haiqiang, although they had influential midfielder Chan Siu Ki sent off. However, Ozbey earned a penalty with one minute of stoppage time remaining which he converted to snatch a point.

South China now trail Chonburi and Persipura Jayapura by two points after the Thais thrashed the Indonesians 4-1. Surat Sukhee broke the deadlock after 16 minutes and Pipob On-Mo volleyed in the second before veteran midfielder Therdsak Chaiman netted the third from the spot before the break. Pipob then claimed his second and Chonburi's fourth in the second-half before Persipura - who had Ortizan Salossa sent off - scored a consolation through Bio Paulin.

In Group D, Al Wehdat booked their place in the last 16 with a 1-0 win over Kuwait SC at King Abdullah Stadium, Rafat Jaber netting the only goal of the game at the start of the second half. Kuwait SC still lead Al Talaba by two points in the race for the second qualification spot after the Iraqis were held to a 1-1 draw at Francouse Al Hareeri Stadium against Oman's Al Suwaiq. Hasan Zamil gave the hosts an eighth-minute lead only for Zaki Al Saadi to equalise a quarter of an hour from the end.

Finally in Group B, Al Ittihad and Shurtan drew 0-0 at Aleppo International Stadium to leave both sides locked on five points and five adrift of leaders Al Qadsia.
