Feyenoord's Fer stalls on contract
Leroy Fer admits whether Feyenoord qualify for Europe will be a factor in whether he signs a new contract at the club.
The Rotterdammers are ending a season in which they have struggled strongly and are just one point off the Europa League play-off places with two games to go. They beat title hopefuls PSV Eindhoven, the team who beat them 10-0 in October, 3-1 at the weekend.
The 21-year-old, who is under contract until 2012, told De Telegraaf: "Whether or not we play European football next season is an important factor. I want to get the most out of my career and that includes European football.
"These things do not make it harder in my mind. At this moment I am only concerned with Feyenoord and getting a spot in the play-offs."
