Shanxi Zhongxin joined Hangzhou Greentown at the top of the Chinese Super League today after edging out Henan Jianye 3-2.
Dino Djulbic and Tomas Oravec twice gave Shanxhi the lead but efforts from Leandro Netto and Xu Yang got the visitors back into it on each occasion. The match appeared to be heading for a draw but the hosts found a winner when Qu Bo slotted home an 86th-minute penalty.
Yu Hanchao grabbed an 82nd-minute winner to give Liaoning a 1-0 win at struggling Jiangsu Shuntian and move them up to fourth.
Dalian Shide secured their first win of the season with two Martin Kamburov goals, either side of a Li Lei equaliser, seeing off Nanchang Bayi while Changchun Yatai and Chengdu Blades drew 1-1. Zhang Wenzhao put Changchun ahead but Zhang Yuan levelled just before half-time.
