Ankaragucu came out on top in a remarkable Super Lig goal glut to all but end their lingering fears of relegation. The capital club trailed 2-1 at half-time to Bucaspor, who occupy the final relegation spot, but hit back to win 5-3 thanks to a stirring finish to the game.
Murat Duruer gave Ankaragucu the lead but Torric Jebrin and Erkan Taskiran gave the visitors the upper hand by the interval. The home team turned the tables as Duruer equalised and Robert Vittek netted a 56th-minute penalty, but visiting substitute Ediz Bahtiyaroglu swiftly levelled.
The hosts had a goalscoring substitute of their own to call on, though, as Metin Akan emerged from the bench to put them ahead four minutes from time before Ozgur Cek clinched victory in the last minute.
Fenerbahce returned to the top of the table as Andre Santos' last-minute strike earned them a 1-0 win over Gaziantepspor, whose brave resistance had been dented by the dismissal of Murat Ceylan seven minutes previously.
Filip Holosko and Herve Tum scored as Istanbul Buyuksehir won 2-0 at Karabukspor, hanging on despite the sending-off of Marcin Kus with 20 minutes left.
