Willem II have parted company with coach Gert Heerkes following a disappointing Eredivisie campaign.
The Enschede club lie at the foot of the table, five points adrift of nearest rivals VVV-Venlo but 20 from safety with four games to play.
With two wins in 30 matches this season, a relegation play-off place is the best they can hope for and a statement on Willem II's official website confirmed Heerkes' departure after just nine months in charge.
"Following a conversation between the two parties, the club informed Gert Heerkes of the decision to end their co-operation at the end of the season," read the statement.
"It was then jointly agreed they would go their separate ways with immediate effect. Willem II's very disappointing results are the basis for this."
