Vitesse Arnhem striker Marcus Pedersen will miss the rest of the season after undergoing knee surgery yesterday.

The 20-year-old Norwegian, who suffered the injury in training last Friday, went under the knife to remove a part of the inner meniscus and will be out for six weeks.

"There were no complications or further damage found," read a statement on the club's website.

"The operation can be called successful. The recovery will take approximately six weeks."

Vitesse head into the last four games of the Eredivisie season in 15th spot, six points clear of the final relegation play-off place.
