Estudiantes put their noses in front at the top of the Clausura but only just as they were held to a goalless draw by San Lorenzo.

The visitors were reduced to ten men by the 88th minute dismissal of Diego Placente but it was too late for the hosts to make anything of their advantage.

The result puts them one point above River Plate and two ahead of Velez Sarsfield and San Lorenzo, but those three clubs all have a game in hand on the leaders.

Independiente are three points from the summit after using three second half goals to power past Godoy Cruz for a 3-0 win. Ivan Perez, Hernan Fredes and substitute Leonel Nunez all found the net after the break.
