Boca Juniors talisman Juan Roman Riquelme helped his side to just their second win of the Argentina Clausura campaign with a winning goal against Colon Santa Fe.

Boca, playing away, had previously won one of their six games so far this season, but overcame Colon thanks to Riquelme's goal on the hour. The hosts had Ariel Garce sent off two minutes from time.

Another struggling giant, Independiente, drew 1-1 at home to Banfield. Eduardo Tuzzio had given them the lead before Cristian Garcia equalised three minutes before the break.

Tigre drew 2-2 at home to Godoy Cruz having come back from being down 2-0 at the break while Velez Sarsfeld handed Arsenal Sarandi a 3-0 loss.
