Zob Ahan retained their one-point lead over Sepahan at the top of the Iran Pro League with a 2-1 win over Shahin.

Farshid Talebi put the hosts in front midway through the first half and Farshid Talebi made the points safe six minutes from time before Mehdi Kiani netted a consolation from the spot in injury-time.

Sepahan kept up the pressure with a 2-1 victory at Steel Azin. The hosts had gone in front after 22 minutes through Hossein Kazemi but second-half goals from Milorad Janjus and Ibrahima Toure turned the game in Sepahan's favour.

Arash Borhani's double saw Esteghlal down Saba Battery 2-0 while Malavan overcame Perspolis 2-1 at home.
