Unam Pumas maintained the last unbeaten record in Mexico's Clausura with a 1-0 victory at Morelia on Sunday.

Juan Palencia's 57th-minute goal decided the contest and lifted Pumas six points clear at the top of Group 3.

Club America slipped to a fourth defeat in 10 games, 2-0 at home to Cruz Azul. Emanuel Villa scored in the 16th and 19th minutes as Cruz joined Morelia on 18 points.

A strong start provided the foundations for Toluca's 3-1 defeat of Santos Laguna. There was no looking back for the home side after Jaime Ayovi and Diego Novaretti put them 2-0 up inside five minutes.

Although Oribe Peralta pulled a goal back in the 36th minute, substitute Emmanuel Cerda made the points safe for Toluca a minute from time, moving them to within a point of Club America at the head of Group 2.
