Juve suffer Sissoko blow
Juventus midfielder Mohamed Sissoko will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury. The Mali midfielder has undergone arthroscopic surgery to remove damaged cartilage in his left knee. A statement from Juventus read: "The operation was done in Bordeaux by Dr Jambou and Sissoko is expected to return in three months' time."
The 26-year-old, who had struggled with a knee problem for several months, has made 18 league appearances for Juve this campaign. Sissoko's absence is a further blow for Juve coach Luigi Delneri, who will also be without midfielders Hasan Salihamidzic and Alberto Aquilani for Saturday's match against AC Milan.
Salihamidzic sustained a thigh problem in yesterday's training session while Aquilani has yet to recover from a muscle injury. Defender Fabio Grosso is also out for ten days with a strain in his right thigh and striker Simone Pepe is suspended this weekend.
Juve have lost four of their last six league games and head into this weekend's showdown in seventh position in Serie A, 17 points behind league leaders Milan.
