Liverpool defender Martin Kelly has been ruled out for a month with a torn hamstring sustained at the weekend.

The 20-year-old has been an ever-present at right-back in the Premier League since Kenny Dalglish took over as manager in early January.

However, the academy graduate limped off in Sunday's 3-1 defeat at West Ham United and will be sidelined for four weeks.

Kelly is likely to miss Sunday's visit of Manchester United, both legs of UEFA Europa League last-16 tie against Portugal's Braga, and the trip to Sunderland on 20 March.
