Tigre edge win as Arsenal Sarandi held
Tigre secured their first win of the 2011 Argentinian Torneo Clausura after edging out Newell's Old Boys 1-0.
Denis Straqualursi bagged the only goal of the game after eight minutes as the hosts moved level with a host of teams on four points. Newell's are fifth from bottom after their second loss in three games.
The day's other game ended in a 1-1 stalemate between Huracan and Arsenal Sarandi. Hosts Huracan opened the scoring through Javier Campora after 52 minutes while Mauro Obolo levelled for Arsenal 12 minutes later.
The point leaves Huracan second-bottom after two draws and a defeat from their opening three games, while Arsenal have four points and move into mid-table.
