Pumas UNAM moved to the top of the Mexican Clausura with a 5-1 hammering of ten-man Tecos.
Israel Castro and Dario Veron put Unam two goals up inside 16 minutes before Tecos pulled one back through Israel Lopez. But they had Gustavo Cabral sent off for a second yellow card with 21 minutes to go and Javier Cortes, Dante Lopez and Carlos Orrantia went on to round off the scoring.
Morelia came from a goal down to beat Atlante 2-1. Christian Bermudez put the visitors ahead but Joel Huiqui Andrade and Miguel Sabah responded as Morelia moved up to third.
The day's other game saw Club America claim an astonishing 4-3 win at home to Toluca. The first goal only came in the 43rd minute from Angel Reyna before Osvaldo Gonzalez levelled just a minute into the second half.
Aquivaldo Mosquera quickly re-establish Club America's league but they were again pegged back by Diego Novaretti's strike. Daniel Montenegro and Vicente Sanchez struck to put the hosts 4-2 up and the visitors cause was not helped by Luis Arias' sending off, although they got a goal back in stoppage time through Novaretti.
