A-League Premiers Brisbane Roar finished the regular season with a superb 4-0 rout of Gold Coast United at Suncorp Stadium today.

Kosta Barbarouses opened the scoring in the third minute when he latched onto a fine pass from Matt McKay before driving a shot beyond Glen Moss.

The hosts added a second three minutes before the break when Erik Paartalu volleyed home and the game was ended as a contest when Andrade Henrique struck in the 65th minute. Thomas Broich then rounded off the scoring with a fourth for his side four minutes from time.

The win extends Brisbane's unbeaten run to a stunning 25 games and sets them up perfectly for the A-League finals.

Meanwhile, Sydney FC ensured they remain unbeaten in 2011 with a hard-fought 2-2 draw against Melbourne Heart at AAMI Park.

Nick Carle put the visitors ahead ten minutes before the break from the penalty spot but Heart hit back through Rutger Worm in the 41st minute when he fired home from a tight angle.

Things took a turn for the worse for the hosts on the stroke of half-time when Gerald Sibon was sent off for a second bookable offence.

But they rallied well and the retiring John Aloisi put them ahead just after the hour when the former Socceroo pounced on a loose ball to smash a first-time shot into the net.

Heart looked to be on course for victory but Carle equalised with two minutes remaining as he controlled well inside the area before firing a powerful shot beyond goalkeeper Clint Bolton.
