Trabzonspor reclaimed top spot in the Super Lig but were only able to overhaul Bursaspor on goal difference after being held to a goalless draw by Antalyaspor. The leaders were unable to break through, with their visitors holding firm despite the last-minute dismissal of substitute Kenan Ozer.
Galatasaray held off a second-half fightback from Eskisehirspor to earn a 4-2 win and move ahead of their opponents in the table. It looked comfortable for the hosts when Lorik Cana, Bogdan Stancu and Harry Kewell gave them a 3-0 half-time lead but two goals in three minutes from Burhan Eser and Umit Karan hauled Eskisehirspor back into the game. However Milan Baros, on as a substitute for Kewell, scored to settle Gala's nerves.
Genclerbirligi beat Bucaspor 1-0 to ease their relegation fears, Oktay Delibalta scoring the only goal. Gaziantepspor beat ten-man Konyaspor 2-0 thanks to strikes from Ivelin Popov and substitute Olcan Adin. The visitors had earlier lost recent signing Kamil Zayatte after the former Hull defender collected two yellow cards.
