Atlas remain top of the Mexican Apertura table despite their first loss of the season, a 2-0 home defeat by Club America.

Efrain Cortes was on target as Queretaro defeated Necaxa 1-0 and Atlante beat Puebla 2-0 with an own goal by Yasser Corona and a second from Christian Bermudez in a game which also saw Jose Joel Gonzalez sent off for Puebla.
