Mexico's Torneo Clausura got under way today, with Jaguares defeating hosts Necaxa 1-0 in the curtain raiser.

Damian Manso had the honour of scoring the first goal of the season after 48 minutes in the Estadio Victoria.

Necaxa were unable to reply, leaving Jaguares to take maximum points.
