Vitoria Setubal pulled away from the foot of the Liga Zon Sagres as they beat Portimonense 4-3 in a game featuring three penalties and a red card.

Claudio Pitbull scored two spot-kicks, the second following the sending-off of Portimonense's Joao Paulo.

Ney Santos and Bernardo Henrique grabbed Vitoria's other goals.

The hosts had led 2-1 after Claudio Lito and Jorge Pires' first-half goals but slumped to defeat despite Ricardo Pessoa's last-minute penalty.
