Tonight's Serie A game between Sampdoria and Genoa has been postponed due to bad weather in Liguria. No new date has yet been set for the Lantern derby.
A statement from Sampdoria read: "The 103rd city derby will not be played (today). The snow that has fallen in Genoa has made the Luigi Feraris' pitch unplayable and it has led to referee Emidio Morganti's decision to postpone the encounter.
"The likelihood is that the game will not be played tomorrow because the weather conditions will not allow the game to go ahead."
