Eight-time Saudi League champions Al Ittihad were held to a 3-3 draw with Al Faisaly today. Al Ittihad, who finished the game with eight men, joined Al Hilal and Al Nasr at the top of the league standings with 28 points but Al Hilal lead the way through goal difference.

Sultan Al Namri gave Al Ittihad the lead after 11 minutes but Al Faisaly found a leveller in the 27th minute through their Albanian striker Migen Memelli, who went on to hit a hat-trick.

It took just five further minutes for Algerian striker Abdulmalik Ziaya to restore Al Ittihad's advantage. Mohamad Noor added a third goal for Al Ittihad after 58 minutes but Memelli reduced the deficit eight minutes later - seconds before Meshal Al Saeed received his second yellow card as Al Ittihad lost their first player.

Memelli completed his hat-trick as he levelled for Al Faisaly with a penalty nine minutes from the end, while Al Ittihad had Sultan Al Namri and Mabrouk Zaid sent off in stoppage time.

Al Raed shared a scoreless draw with their hosts Najran who finished the game with 10 men as Ibrahim Al Hafez was sent off on 41 minutes. Al Raed's Moroccan striker Jawad Aqadar failed to convert a penalty after 55 minutes.
