Roda JC enjoyed a massive 4-0 at Eredivisie strugglers VVV Venlo on Tuesday. Willem Janssen, Laurent Delorge and Mads Junker scored to put the game to bed by the half-hour mark, Junker adding his second of the match ten minutes from time.
The win moved Roda up to fifth place in the table while VVV remained second bottom. The visitors came flying out of the blocks and were in front after two minutes. Junker whipped in a cross which Janssen swept into the bottom right corner from 16 yards. Delorge made it two in the 22nd minute with a wonderful individual goal, breaking away before, from 30 yards, guiding a lob over Kevin Begois as the goalkeeper came off his line.
Junker ended the game as a contest with the third in the 30th minute. Delorge sent in a cross from the right for Junker to convert from 10 yards. VVV finally threatened on the stroke of half-time when Ahmed Musa's header was cleared off the line by Jimmy Hempte.
VVV had another chance to pull one back when Ruud Boymans ran onto a fine through-ball, but, one-on-one with Przemyslaw Tyton, he shot early from the edge of the area and the goalkeeper parried it to safety. Instead Roda rounded off a convincing win with a fourth goal, Junker cutting into the area from the left and, seeing Begois off his line, scoring with a chip.
