Paris St Germain midfielder Ludovic Giuly says his side's home form will be vital if they are to secure the Ligue 1 title.  The capital club followed up their 4-2 UEFA Europa League victory over Sevilla with a 3-1 win over Brest at Parc des Princes last night.

That result put Antoine Kombouare's men up to second in the table, just a point behind leaders Lille, and Giuly, who grabbed PSG's third goal yesterday, says more of the same will be required if they are to secure a first title since 1994.

If you want to stay on top you must follow up your victories at home. We used to drop a lot of points at home but we have rectified that.

"Home form is very important," the former Barcelona man told L'Equipe. "If you want to stay on top you must follow up your victories at home. We used to drop a lot of points at home but we have rectified that. That was our weakness last year, we have tried to correct it."

Last season saw Les Rouge-et-Bleus finish a disappointing 13th and Giuly admits there is a major difference in the squad's attitude this term.

"Compared to last year the squad has more character and is more confident. It has shown in our results, whether it be the win over Sevilla or the win over Brest. We did not panic and the confidence speaks for itself, we have driven away our doubts."
