Bologna hit by one-point ban over unpaid tax
Serie A side Bologna were deducted one league point today for failing to pay tax on their players' salaries, and have been told they face further deductions for delays in paying players and staff.
The one-point sanction means the northern side remain fifth from bottom of the league, now on 13 points.
Bologna president Sergio Porcedda has been suspended from his post for six months. Porcedda, who holds an 80 percent stake in the club, failed to pay tax on his players' salaries from May to June 2010.
Players and staff at the club have still not received salaries from July to September.
