Bayern Munich moved into the top five of the Bundesliga for the first time this season thanks to a comfortable 4-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt.

The win takes Bayern to within 12 points of league leaders Borussia Dortmund, who have the chance to respond with their game in hand against Borussia Monchengladbach.
Bayern deservedly took the lead in the 29th minute when Muller served Tymoschuk on the right and the Ukrainian cut inside to arc a left-footed shot inside the far corner. Their lead did not last long, though, with the league's top goalscorer Gekas taking his first chance of the match to level three minutes later.

The rest of the game was all Bayern as they searched for a winner. Muller nudged a shot wide of the post in the 37th minute after being put through by Franck Ribery and
Bastian Schweinsteiger's shot was then blocked on the stroke of half time as the home side's pressure failed to lead to a goal. Gomez hit the post in the 47th minute and Bayern finally went ahead again in the 59th minute.
Frankfurt goalkeeper Oka Nikolov gifted Muller a goal after he fumbled
Nikolov pushed Ribery's shot straight to the in-form Bayern striker, who accepted the gift to double the home side's advantage. Tymoschuk then sealed the win when he was served by Ribery in a central position and he nudged the ball past Nikolov for his third goal of the season in the 88th minute.
