Estudiantes moved three points clear at the top of the Argentinian Apertura table with a 2-0 home win over struggling Huracan.

Gabriel Mercado opened the scoring after eight minutes and Enzo Perez added a second with 56 minutes played to give the hosts a lead over Velez Sarsfield, who have a game in hand.

All Boys moved up to fifth and above Newell's Old Boys after they were also 2-0 winners at home.

Mauro Matos and Soto Perea scored the goals to move All Boys above the visitors on goal difference.
