Panathinaikos defeated Iraklis 4-2 to move two points clear of Olympiacos at the top of the Super League in Greece. Olympiacos were held at home to Asteras Tripoli, meaning Pana's three points gave them breathing space at the summit.
Iraklis had taken a 2-0 lead over Panathinaikos, Bogdan Mara and Pitu Garcia scoring within seconds of each other midway through the first half. Luis Garcia and Djibril Cisse levelled, with the Frenchman adding a second to take the lead before Antonis Petropoulos added the finishing touch. Karim Soltani was dismissed for the visitors in the closing moments.
Olympiacos also had to work for their 1-1 draw, Juan Martin equalising after seven minutes on the pitch following Daniel Orozco's first-half opener.
Elsewhere, FC Xanthi bested Panseriakos 2-0, with Marcelo Pereira and Nathan Ellington on target.
