Defending Russian champions Rubin Kazan came from behind to draw 2-2 at Dinamo Moscow. The win extends their unbeaten run to 13 matches and keeps alive their hopes of automatic UEFA Champions League qualification.

Rubin are now one point behind second-placed CSKA Moscow, who have a game in hand, in the race for second place which guarantees automatic qualification for the lucrative group stage of the 2011/12 continental competition.

Anything other than a win for Spartak Moscow against Krylya Sovetov tomorrow will ensure Rubin of third place, which will give them at least a place in next season's UEFA Champions League qualifiers. Rubin were 2-0 down inside 36 minutes at Dinamo as Alexandru Epureanu and Kevin Kuranyi put the hosts in charge, but they battled back with Cristian Noboa's second-half double.

Alania Vladikavkaz remain in the bottom two on goal difference after Georgi Gabulov's goal earned them a point at Tomsk while Anzhi Makhachkala secured a second win in a row, beating Terek Grozny 3-1 in Chechnya to move within two points of their ninth-placed opponents.
