Valencia romped their way into the last 16 of the Copa del Rey with a 7-1 aggregate win over Logrones. Valencia won the second leg 4-1 tonight, recovering from Juan Osado's second-minute strike for the visitors as Alarcon Isco grabbed a brace and Vicente Rodriguez and Sofiane Feghouli also found the net.
Sebastian Fernandez struck in the 90th minute to send Malaga through. After a goalless first leg against Hercules, Malaga won 3-2 on the night, but needed Fernandez to strike after earlier squandering a 2-0 lead. Goals from Pereira Eliseu and Arnaldo Edinho had put them in control before Javier Portillo and Abel Aguilar hit back.
Two goals in the first 15 minutes from Emilio Nsue ensured Mallorca of progression. Although Sporting Gijon would strike back through Mate Bilic's penalty and Juan Ramon Muniz to make it 2-2 on the night, Mallorca held the advantage from their first leg and went through 5-3 on aggregate.
Getafe went through on the away goals rule after being held to a goalless draw tonight by Portugalete, with their tie finishing 1-1 on aggregate.
