Inzaghi blow for Milan
Serie A leaders AC Milan have suffered a blow with the news that Filippo Inzaghi has been ruled out for at least six months with a knee injury. The 37-year-old striker underwent tests today after hurting his left knee during Wednesday´s 3-1 win over Palermo.
A statement from the club read: "Filippo Inzaghi underwent an MRI today that showed a lesion to his anterior crucial ligament associated to the external meniscus of his left knee. The player will need surgery."
Earlier this month Inzaghi became the record scorer in European competition with 70 goals - beating the 69 of Raul and Gerd Muller - overtaking Marco van Basten in Milan's all-time scoring charts by moving onto 125 for the club and moving ahead of Andriy Shevchenko as I Rossoneri's leading scorer in Europe with 40. The former Italy international has scored twice in five league games this season. It was
