FC Seoul ended the K-League's regular season on top spot with a 2-1 win over Daejeon Citizen, while Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma warmed up for Saturday's AFC Champions League final with a 2-2 draw at Gyeongnam FC.
An early Jung Jo-gook goal set Seoul on their way. The striker latched on to Dejan Damjanovic's pass just inside the area and while the advancing Choi Eun-jung saved the first attempt, he could do little when Jung fired the rebound into the net.
Park Ju-hyun equalised for the visitors midway through the second-half but with three minutes remaining, Kim Chi-woo squeezed a low shot through a crowded penalty area and into the bottom corner. Seoul progress to the final of the K-League play-offs, where they await the winner of the series of games between teams that finished second to sixth.
Jeju United finished second after a 0-0 draw at home to Incheon United while champions Jeonbuk Motors claimed third following a 5-1 win at Suwon Bluewings. Goals from Eninho, Kim Jee-woong, Luiz Henrique and Son Seung-joon put Jeonbuk in control after an hour and although Kwak Hee-ju pulled a goal back for the hosts, Kim notched his second in injury time.
Seongnam slip to fifth after dropping two points at Gyeongnam, who finished sixth to take the final play-off spot. Gyeongnam were ahead inside two minutes when Seo Sang-min's low shot from outside the area eluded Jung Sung-ryung to end up in the back of the net but Seongnam equalised midway through the first-half thanks to a Kim Sung-hwan close range strike.
Dzenan Radoncic, suspended for the Champions League final against Zob Ahan, struck with two minutes remaining but there was still time for Lucio to level for the hosts from the penalty spot deep inside injury time.
Ulsan Horang-I move up to fourth with a 2-1 win at Gwangju Sangmu, Jose Maria Ortigoza's double cancelling out Cho Yong-tae's early strike.
Gangwon FC defeated Pohang Steelers 2-0 thanks to goals from Seo Dong-hyeon and Ahn Sung-nam, while Chunnam Dragons won 2-1 at home to Daegu FC. Nam Kwang-won gave Chunnam a sixth-minute lead and although Hwang Il-soo levelled five minutes later, Gong Young-sun netted a second-half winner.
