Qatar League leaders Al Arabi maintained their unbeaten run as they hammered Al Ahli 4-0 to kick-off round nine of the league.

Al Arabi, who claimed their 21st point this season, took the lead through their Argentinian attacking midfielder Leonardo Pisculichi after only ten minutes before Abdulaziz Hatim made it 2-0 on 33 minutes.

Hatim scored the third goal and his second on the night on 59 minutes just eight minutes before Algerian defender Khoukhi Boualem scored the fourth.

Defending champions Al Gharafa edged Al Siliya 3-0 to climb to the fourth place in the standing.

Al Gharafa's Brazilian midfielder Juninho Pernambucano scored the lead for his side after seven minutes before his teammate Clemerson de Araujo made it 2-0 on 29 minutes while Faheid Al Shammari scored the third goal four minutes after the break.

In the other match today, Umm Salal shared a 1-1 draw with Al Khor. Al Khor opened the scoring on 33 minutes through their Brazilian striker Alan Bahia who successfully converted a penalty before Umm Salal Nigerian striker Toshoka Derbek Ohio leveled the scores on 73 minutes.

The round will be continued tomorrow as Al Sadd host Lekhwiya, Qatar SC take on Al Wakra and Al Rayyan meet Al Khraitiat.
