Qatar League champions Al Gharafa claimed their third win of the season with a 4-1 victory over Al Khraitiat today. Iraqi striker Younis Mahmoud opened the scoring after 16 minutes and Lawrence Quaye doubled their advantage nine minutes later.
Quaye added a third 15 minutes from time and Mahmoud's second of the night made it 4-0 three minutes later before Ala'a Abdulzahra netted a late consolation for Al Khraitiat.
Elsewhere, Al Rayyan overcame Umm Salal 3-0 to clinch their fourth win of the campaign. Brazilian striker Afonso Alves set Al Rayyan on their way after 32 minutes and Jarralah Al Marri added a second on the stroke of half-time before Cameroonian striker Ibrahima Ndiaye made the points safe just before the hour.
