Clement Chantome's late equaliser snatched a point for Paris St Germain to keep them out in front at the top of UEFA Europa League Group J.

Nuri Sahin's penalty early in the second half looked like winning an end-to-end game, but PSG launched a late assault and took their reward when Chantome scored in the 87th minute. The win means PSG remain one point clear of Sevilla following their 1-0 win over Karpaty Lviv tonight.

The hosts were quickly on the attack, but Shinji Kagawa's early sighter went wide before Edel Bete easily held an effort from Jakub Blaszczykowski. Mathieu Bodmer tried his luck from range at the other end, but Roman Weidenfeller gathered comfortably.

Chances continued to come at both ends with Bete saving from Kevin Grosskreutz before Weidenfeller made a great block to keep out Peguy Luyindula's effort. Sahin fired wide for Dortmund before Kagawa's header was held by the goalkeeper.

Grosskreutz fired over the crossbar while Anderson Nene was also off-target at the other end. Luyindula had a great chance from close range but sent his effort wide, and then moments later he had another shot saved by Weidenfeller as the first half ended goalless. The deadlock was broken only five minutes into the second half when Zoumana Camara brought down Blaszczykowski and Sahin dispatched the penalty.

There was no let up in the pace of the game and Dortmund could have doubled their lead moments later when Blaszczykowski's free-kick found Lucas Barrios in the area but his header went wide. At the other end, a mis-hit shot from Mevlut Erdinc almost wrong-footed Weidenfeller, but he parried the ball to safety.

Luyindula had another good chance for the Parisiens in the 71st minute but blazed his shot over the crossbar. Lukasz Piszcek had a chance from a corner but could not find the target before Bete used his feet to keep out Barrios' shot. PSG continued to push at the other end, with Guillaume Hourau's shot forcing a save from Weidenfeller before Stephane Sessegnon sent a chance over the bar.
 
Chantome saw a shot blocked by Neven Subotic but he grabbed the equaliser to stun the hosts a minute later Hoarau's pass found the midfielder for an easy finish from close range.
