Bernardo Corradi came on as a second-half substitute and scored the only goal of the game as Udinese beat Brescia to climb off the bottom of the table.

Corradi scored in the 80th minute with a flying header from Giovanni Pasquale's cross, beating Brescia goalkeeper Matteo Sereni. The victory at the Mario Rigamonti stadium was Udinese's first on the road this season and lifted the Friuli outfit into 18th place.

Brescia went into the game having not lost a game at home this season. But it was the visitors that showed more initiative from the start.

Antonio Di Natale hit the back of the net in the 11th minute but the goal was disallowed for offside. Shortly after, Gokhan Inler's 25-yard volley went over the bar.

On the half-hour mark, Udinese goalkeeper Samir Handanovic made a fine save from Andrea Caracciolo's right-footed strike from the edge of the area. Brescia twice had the chance to take the lead before half-time but headers from Caracciolo and Eder failed to test Handanovic.

Neither side posed much of a threat in attack until the 77th minute when Eder's left-footed strike from the six-yard box was saved by Handanovic.

Just when Brescia looked more dangerous, Udinese broke the deadlock. Corradi, who had come on in place of German Denis on the hour mark, made the most of his chance.

Udinese were forced to defend deeply with Brescia going forward in search of the equaliser. Davide Possanzini twice had the chance to restore parity but his 87th minute header was cleared by a defender and his subsequent shot from six yards went just wide of the far post.
