Krylya Sovetov held off a late fightback from relegation rivals Alania Vladikavkaz to boost their hopes of remaining in the Premier Liga.

Oleg Samsonov and Ibrahim Tsallagov fired Krylya into a 2-0 half-time lead, and substitute Pavel Yakovlev made it three with 16 minutes remaining.

The hosts pulled two goals back within four minutes through substitutes Aleksandr Marenich and Asen Hubulov, but Krylya held on for a 3-2 win.

And they received further good news when former Germany striker Kevin Kuranyi's last-minute goal for Dinamo Moscow condemned Amkar Perm to a 1-0 home defeat.

The results leave Amkar and Krylya level on 22 points with seven games remaining, one point behind Alania and Anzhi Makhachkala.

Saturn Moscow have 24 and just two points further ahead are Tomsk, who went down 1-0 at Terek Grozny today. Shamil Asildarov scored the goal from the penalty spot in the 21st minute.
