Stuttgart coach Christian Gross wants his side to reproduce their performance from last night's 2-1 win against Odense in the UEFA Europa League when they play Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga on Sunday.
Stuttgart have made a perfect start in Europe, winning their first two group fixtures, but they have won just one of their opening six Bundesliga matches. With the morale boost from Thursday's win behind them, Gross is now keen on putting domestic affairs back in order.
"We deserved this win," he said. "Now we need to concentrate on Sunday's game because we now really want to pick up points in the Bundesliga."
Match-winner Martin Harnik added that the game had "given us extra self-confidence" and that he and his team-mates needed to take the momentum with them to Frankfurt. "We know that we have a good team, we just now have to show that in the Bundesliga," he added on his club's website.
Cacau insisted that he would have traded three points last night for three in the league on Sunday. "Sunday's game is more important than this one," said the Germany striker."We really have to get a positive result in the league and I hope this win can give us self-confidence for the game against Frankfurt."
