Geylang United claimed a comfortable 4-1 win over Sengkang at Jalan Besar Stadium today to climb up to fourth in the S-League.

Vasile Ghindaru opened the scoring for Geylang in the 16th minute before Peter Tomko added a second shortly after the half-hour.

Kim Jae-hong all but put the game beyond Sengkang with a goal in the 45th minute before Rastislav Belicak scored the fourth for his side with six minutes remaining.

Mamadou Diallo grabbed a consolation in the 88th minute before Sengkang had Faizal Amir sent off two minutes later.

The win brought an end to a three-match losing streak for Geylang who move above Singapore Armed Forces onto 43 points, 17 behind third-placed Tampines Rovers.

Sengkang, meanwhile, are second from bottom with 24 points, five clear of Woodlands Wellington.
