Baros hat-trick for Gala
Milan Baros scored a hat-trick to see off Istanbul Buyuksehir BSK and propel Galatasaray up to third in the Turkish Super Lig on Sunday.
The Czech Republic striker netted after five minutes and added a second from the penalty spot six minutes later. He completed his treble four minutes before the break. Herve Tum pulled one back midway through the second half but the visitors could make no further inroads.
Trabzonspor could have gone second with a win at Kayserispor but had to settle for a point in a goalless draw. Indeed the visitors will be relieved to have claimed a share of the spoils after playing the final 11 minutes with 10 men following the sending off of Remzi Giray Kacar.
Sixth-placed Karabukspor were held to a 2-2 draw at Konyaspor. Ivan Lietava handed the hosts a first-minute lead only for Karabukspor to turn it round with strikes from Florin Cernat and Hakan Ozmert. Peter Grajciar netted the equaliser midway through the second half.
Sivasspor remain in the bottom three after losing 3-0 at Manisaspor with Josh Simpson grabbing a hat-trick for the hosts.
